Virginia Hunter

Virginia has been selling apartments and townhouses in Park Slope since the late 80's and has watched the neighborhood's meteoric rise to its current position as Brooklyn's destination location. She is steeped in an intimate knowledge of the market, past and present, and is an expert at coordinating the many and varied elements essential for a successful transaction. She honed her collaborative skills in theater production, first as an intern in the Summer Theater program at Bates College, her alma mater, then while working off-Broadway at the Manhattan Theatre Club, and later as the assistant to the Artistic Director at Center Stage in Baltimore.

No stranger to hard work, Virginia will go the extra mile to overcome stumbling blocks, even if it means foraging through documents at the Department of Buildings. Having weathered numerous market upturns and downturns, she has a deep reservoir of experience from which to draw, and is particularly adept at finding innovative ways to approach the most complex challenges.

In addition to providing guidance and support to buyers and sellers navigating the market, she has also advised developers through every step of the process from site purchase to kitchen and bath design. She is particularly interested in Green design and has worked extensively with cutting-edge developers on new construction resulting in Gold LEED certification.

Having grown up on a New England farm, Virginia fully understands the value of sustainability. She is thrilled to have the bounty of the local Greenmarket at her disposal and has helped coordinate events for the Brooklyn Food Coalition. When time allows, she enjoys volunteering her planting skills at the Brooklyn Botanic Garden.
